India’s fastest Train18 named Vande Bharat Express : Design, features, route and timing , full details -
The fastest train of India Train 18,later renamed Vande Bharat Express ,is a self-propelled type of train without a
separate dedicated locomotive, it is like metro, and this semi-high speed
16-coach train is superior to the two fastest trains in India - Rajdhani
Express (max speed 150 km/h) and Shatabdi Express (max speed 150 km/h).

During
a trial, Train 18 speed touched 180 kmph (110 mph). The Commercial operations
of Train-18 will only be allowed to speed of 160 kmph(99 mph) maximum. Train 18
was designed and built by ICF in Chennai, under Make in India Initiative,
Priced at Rs 100 crore (1 billion) per rake.
Design and features of Vande Bharat Express-
The indigenously-built, hi-tech train
Vande Bharat Express (train 18) was designed & built by Integral Coach
Factory (ICF) Chennai. Each end of the train18 has an aerodynamic narrowing
which makes it look similar to bullet trains.
Vande Bharat Express has 16
coaches with AC, 2 of the center compartments of train 18 are executive coach
compartments each have 52 seats, rest of the coach are regular coach compartments
which have 78 seats each.

passenger comfort, it has on-board Wi-Fi,
CCTV cameras, a GPS-based
information system shows time and speed of train, LED lighting in all coaches,
rotational seats, bio-vacuum toilets, automatic doors facilities, mobile phone
charging points.
To adjust the temperature Vande Bharat Express ( train18) has climate control system in all coach.
Route and time of Vande Bharat Express-
Vande
Bharat Express, (Train 18)will start early morning at 6:00 am (06:00 hours)
from New Delhi junction and will reach Varanasi junction by 2:00 pm(14:00
hours), train18 will reduce the travel
time by 6 hours(fastest train between New Delhi to Varanasi takes 11.30 hours),
in its journey from New Delhi to Varanasi junction, this hi-tech train will stop at Kanpur station and
Prayagraj station (Allahabad).
The train18 will start its return journey at 3:00
pm(15:00 hours) from Varanasi and will reach New Delhi by 11:00 pm(23:00
hours), Fares of Vande Bharat Express (train18) are yet to be decided but they
are expected to be higher than fare of Shatabdi Express

Train 18
recently renamed as Vande Bharat Express have two different categories of
coaches, CC(Chair Car) and EC(Executive Class) both coaches are
air-conditioned, depending on direction of travelling Fares will vary

These
Tickets include meal charges. Passengers in train 18 travelling from New Delhi
to Varanasi in the EC (Executive Class) will be charged Rs 399 and in the CC
(chair car) Rs 344 for breakfast & lunch provided by the IRCTC
Those
Passengers in train18 travelling from Varanasi to New Delhi will be charged Rs
349 in the EC (executive class) and Rs 288 in CC (chair car) for lunch provided
by the IRCTC
Passengers
in train18 travelling from New Delhi to Kanpur & Prayagraj(Allahabad) in EC (Executive Class)will be charged Rs 155
and Rs 122 for CC(chair car) for tea and lunch provided by the IRCTC
Passengers
travelling in Vande Bharat Express can’t opt out of meals; however Passengers
travelling from Prayagraj (Allahabad) to Varanasi and Varanasi to Prayagraj(Allahabad) can opt out of meals provided by the IRCTC
