Nainital is a Himalayan resort town in the Kumaon region of the state Uttarakhand of India. Nainital is one of the most popular and exquisite hill stations.  From the tops of the higher peaks, magnificent views can be obtained. Nainital is set in a valley containing a pear-shaped lake surrounded by mountains which makes it favorite tourist destination.

Nainital experiences subtropical highland climate as the city's climate is influenced by the elevation. Due to South Asian monsoon system the city is a bit dry during winter and very wet during summer. Like most places in temperate region, Nainital has relative cool in summer. The hottest month is July with temperature ranging from 16 °C to 24 °C while the coldest month is January
